Manlleu, Spain

Danielle Green, a friend from Chicago, married Dani the week we were in Barcelona. We traveled an hour outside of the city to the beautiful small town of Manlleu, Dani's hometown. I was not sure what to expect because I've never traveled in Spain before, but I was overwhelmed with the beauty this country had to offer. This was BY FAR the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to in my entire life.

The church was in the heart of the town, with beautiful stone architecture.

The reception was held in the mountains at an old converted farm house. I wish you could have been there to see this with your own eyes. As the guests arrived, pink champagne was given to you as you walk down to the beautiful cocktail area. We were served sashimi tuna, gazpacho, octopus, duck and many other delicacies before dinner!

Kelsey, Rachel and Laura (from right to left) worked with me at Wilmette and traveled to Spain for the wedding. Louisa is one of Danielle's college friends who traveled from New York.

The couples first dance was surrounded by sparklers.

After a dinner of monk fish, shellfish, and pork, the sun began to set outside.

She's got the whole world (well really the sun) in her hands......

Even later, things got very fun with many Spanish men dancing.

Danielle's brother, Austin, was mistaken for Scott and vice versa many times throughout the night. They are the same height with the same hair cut. From the back, they look like twins!

All of the guests boarded the bus to go back to the hotel at the end of the evening, but we were stopped by the police because there was a car race on the mountain road. We waited an hour or two watching cars speed by us on the street. I love Spain!

*Danielle and family- Thank you for such a lovely time. We will never forget this wonderful wedding.
